Never Judge

Chapter 761 - 761

At first Cedric thought both men wouldn\'t speak, it seemed that whoever was behind the attack were people they feared beyond Cedric.

So when they finally spoke again, Cedric was quite surprised.

"The Rajas." The first man said. "They want to come back."

"The Rajas will never make a comeback." Alexi hissed. "Their ideologies and old ways are rotten to the core, people know better now."

"And yet you still pull the strings behind the people\'s backs." The second man said with a laugh. "You are no better than them, but at least with the Rajas people are aware of the manipulation." He dared accuse Alexi.

Alexi raised an arm to punch the man, but he was quickly stopped by Cedric.

"Don\'t, they aren\'t worth it." Cedric said as he shook his head.

Alexi sighed, he wasn\'t happy, but he knew Cedric was right. Attacking the man would only make him look guilty.

"We don\'t manipulate people." Alexi finally said as he tried to keep a calm demeanor.

"That\'s what you say to sleep at night? Ha!" The first man said, throwing his head back. "The sooner you accept the truth, the better it will be for this country. The Rajas are coming back and they are coming for all of you." The man threatened.

"Take them away." Alexi ordered as he waved his hand.

The guards quickly did as he asked and took the two Baron relatives to the local police station. Evan Baron\'s wife and Jean were also taken and brought to the station until their trial.

With everyone gone, only Cedric and his people were left in the room.

"How the fuck did that old group get so powerful all of a sudden?" Alexi cursed as he kicked a chair, sending it flying across the room.

"We need to know what happened." Cedric said with a nod as he agreed with Alexi. "I thought they had been dealt such a dangerous blow that they would never get back up."

"That\'s what history tells us, but as we all know, history can be biased most of the time." Ian said as he shook his head. His family too had been affected by the rise and fall of the Rajas, they spent years looking over their shoulders in fear that they would be the next target.

Luckily the Lims, like the other families that survived that time in their nation\'s history, managed to make it out alive and intact.

"This isn\'t even our problem." Ray said as he shook his head. "It belonged to our grandfathers and their fathers before them."

"They cannot be allowed to make contact with Lucius Ting." Cedric said with a concerned look on his face.

"They won\'t." Alexi told Cedric as he shook his head. "Lucius Ting is a self made man, he does not have the pedigree to work with them or to belong to their ranks. The Rajas were full of pride in the past, I doubt that has changed."

"And what if they were willing to drop those ideologies to work with Lucious TIng?" Cedric asked. "He is the most logical person for them to ally themselves with. They have everything to gain from that kind of cooperation."

"Their pride will hinder them." Alexi said as he disagreed with Cedric.

"Either way, we need to be ahead of them, and right now we are behind." Ray said with a frown. "How are the girls?" He  asked as he glanced at Cedric.

"I\'ve been in this room with you the whole time, why ask me?" Cedric said with a frown. He too was worried about his wife, but he trusted his people to keep her safe in his absence. All he could do was to complete what needed to be done before finally heading home.

"They are fine." Katerina said with a sigh from the corner of the room.

She had been a silent observer the whole time, she knew that the boys had the whole torture and murder covered so she didn\'t feel the need to interfere.

"You\'re speaking to them?" Alexi asked his sister with a worried look on his face.

Katerina nodded as he showed them her phone.

"While you boys were playing barbarian and plotting, I was checking up on them." Katerina said with a nod. "They are safe, so you don\'t need to worry."

"Where did they go? Is the attack over?" Cedric asked Katerina, eager to hear the details.

"According to Nicole they were brought to the servants houses, apparently you have bunkers there?" Katerina asked.

"Yes, but I had those made for the people that live in those homes, not for my family." Cedric said with a frown. He didn\'t want his people thinking that their lives were more important.

"It was the house help that suggested it." Katerina said with a smile as she shook her head. "According to the girls it was the maids that suggested they hide out there since the attackers wouldn\'t think of looking in the staff housing."

"If it were really the Rajas then they would think too low of those places, that\'s a good idea." Cedric said with a nod.

"The attack ended as you sent the father and son to the cage, so they are back in the house chatting the day away." Katerina said with a laugh, calming the boys down.

"I better check on the situation with Yoyo, I had security around him increased as much as possible, but I can\'t help but worry." Cedric told his friends.

They all nodded and let him leave the room, he was quickly followed by Leon, who was on the phone trying to get a hold of his own people.

After a few minutes of waiting Leon nodded at him, signaling that he had an update on Yoyo\'s safety.

"And?" Cedric asked as he could feel the worry building up. He wondered how his father and mother dealt with the separation when he was doing his poverty training.

He couldn\'t imagine sending his son out into the world at such a young age, all just to prepare him to become the next head of the family and company.

"There were a lot of attempted kidnappings today around Yoyo." Leon informed Cedric. "But it seems that his identity is still a secret and he is safe."

Cedric nodded and for the first time since he heard about the attack on his home, he was able to breath comfortably.
