Chapter 110 Buying Items (Part 1)

Raydon once more found himself in front of the stall of the man who appeared to be a cartoon character from whom he had purchased the movement-type item the previous time while moving between stalls and looking for the most suitable stall.

"Hohoho, young fellow, great to see you again. \'\' The man laughed funnily. Every extra piece of fat on his body, even his cheeks, wobbled as he laughed, adding animation to the man\'s already comical image.

\'\'Hello, sir; good to see you as well. \'\'  Raydon also greeted him in a friendly manner. When he previously purchased the item that enabled him to kill Herman, the seller did him a favor and offered him a discount because his gold amount was insufficient. So he had a positive attitude toward this man, and he hoped that this time he would also find what he was looking for.

"I presume you\'re here for the attack-type item you didn\'t get the last time you visited, right?"

"Yeah, if you have a stamina-based attack-type item, I\'d want to look at it. Also, it would be better if it is death-type or fire-type. \'\'  added Raydon.

\'\'You won\'t have any issue with any of my items as they are almost all stamina-based, but death-type? That\'s a little difficult. \'\'  He pondered for some time, his forehead furrowing. There was no problem with fire-type, but death-type ones were very rare.

"I have two fire types, but I can\'t help with the death type because it\'s outside of my specialty. Hoho \'\' The guy said this while reaching for a knife on the stall and picking it up, as well as withdrawing a glove from his dimensional storage and placing it in front of Raydon.

\'\'Check out these two; they\'re good. \'\'

Raydon reached out and checked the dagger without lowering his mood despite being disappointed that he couldn\'t find a death-type item.

[Dagger]

-Grade: Green

-Quality: Good

-Skill: Ignite

Increases the damage rate by covering the weapon with flames. The temperature of the flames varies depending on the user\'s stamina.

-Mana cost: 3

-Duration: 3 minutes.

-Cooldown: 3 minutes.

Raydon considered the skill for some time. The heat of the flames he will likely produce with his current level of stamina will be rather intense, and given that he typically wields a sword, it will have the same effect as cutting butter with a hot knife.

\'\'Can I use this skill with arrows? \'\'  He enquired. In addition to the sword, he frequently used a crossbow, and if he hit the target with arrows powered by these blazing flames, there was a chance that he might pierce even tough skin.

"Of course. Yet, the effect will be lesser. \'\'

With this answer, Raydon believed that this skill was acceptable. Even if the effect on the arrows was minimal, it was sufficient to at least raise the damage rate.

He then took the glove with the black-on-red striped design and studied it before returning the dagger.

[Gloves]

-Grade: Green

-Quality: Good

-Skill: Flame Burst

When the skill is used, sprays a pressurized flame onto the target. The pressure of the flame output varies according to the user\'s stamina stat.

-Mana cost: 5

-Duration: 30 seconds.

-Cooldown: 1 minute.

Raydon asked excitedly after seeing the skill description. \'\' Is it possible to use the skill with any part of our body?  \'\'

The reason for Raydon\'s question was because similar to the hook skill he always used and could only throw from his hands, the skills were activated only with certain body parts.

\'\'Sure. You can even use your mouth to activate the skill and breathe flames like a dragon. Hoohoho. But, be careful as you might burn your beard. hohoho. \'\'  Raydon ignored the bad joke and eagerly said.

"I\'ll buy it,"

\'\'I guess you liked that. At least it isn\'t as expensive as the previous one. It\'s  8.500 gold coins. \'\'

As soon as the man accepted payment, Raydon bonded the item to himself. After looking at a few more items, he realized that nothing else caught his attention, so he made the decision to go and visit other stalls.

After saying goodbye, Raydon departed from the hoho guy and then resumed his wandering. This time, he was specifically searching for possible sellers of death-type items. In general, it was easy to determine which seller specialized in which type just by looking at them. He eventually did find a big, muscular man. Raydon reasoned that this man could be able to sell items related to death-type because he was a zombie.

Although seeming muscular, the man\'s upper torso was entirely naked, and some of his pale skin was missing, which led Raydon to believe the man was a zombie. Even the right side of his breastbone and the still-beating heart behind it could be seen. In addition, it seemed as though the skin had been entirely torn off of one side of his face, exposing his skull.

\'\'Hey, don\'t get too near; your smell is making my nose burn. \'\'  The zombie abruptly raised his hand and motioned for Raydon to keep away as he approached the stall.

"My smell? Why? \'\' Raydon questioned the man\'s actions since he could not understand them.

"You have an ashy, burned corpse-like scent. Just who are you? Stop there and don\'t approach. \'\'

\'Ashy? Burned body? Is it a result of my body enchantment? \'  Raydon pondered.

Zombies were normally vulnerable to fire, and heat, another attribute of Raydon\'s body enchantment, which is fire, must have disturbed him, but his claim that he smelled like ash and burnt corpse parts puzzled him.

\'\'Good, let me hear what you need. Be quick." The zombie told Raydon while covering his nose. He appeared to be about to kick him based on the expression on his face.

Raydon remarked, "I\'m looking for a stamina-based death-type item. \'\'

"All right, I have a few. Just remain there, and I\'ll put them here. \'\'  The zombie moved back after taking the three items from the stall and placing them on a distant corner of the stall.
